I created this blog because I missed creating things. I wanted somewhere to put helpful tips for PhD students that I learned along the way as well as other musings of other sorts.

This website is built with Hugo, and served by Netlify. Hugo is an open source static site generator which means it can be hosted very simply, often for free (see Github Pages). It does this from Markdown files which are very simple to create so the barrier to entry is very low! Hugo have a very good tutorial on how to get started and even how to deploy it via Netlify.
